Baltimore Facility Renovation Half Way Through

Alhamedellah work has been initiated on the newly acquired property in late Feb to renovate the exterior of the building and install an HVAC system. Work completed to date includes basement cleanup, removal of old water piping, hazardous material, removal of panels and ceiling, natural gas valves replacement, new water piping installation, external building scraping, priming, painting, two old windows removal, removal of old A/C unit in southern conference room, fire exit strengthening, stairs replacement, painting, external stair case foundation remodeling, window scraping, attic insulation removal, cleanup and readiness for roof work. Additionally, ILIA volunteers readied two rooms in the building in the southern side a and the north east side which have started accepting students and volunteers during March.

Work remaining inshaa Allah, includes roof upgrade, skylights installation, full HVAC system for entire facility, new roof insulation, office space finishing in third floor, bathroom upgrade, new window in banquet hall, external painting completion and finish up, caulking and water proofing the facility.

The total remodeling project is expected to require an investment of $32,500, of which $11,200 have already been expended. Inshaa Allah we look forward to the grand opening in April. Donations to support the completion of the project are accepted here.
