ILIA Interns Raise Over $1000 in one Week

The Spring quarter of 2015 witnessed the first time ever ILIA conducts an elementary school internship for grades 4-5. Two students joined the program which focussed on outreach. Students learned and practiced skills from communications, planning and organizing to presentation, use of technology and sales. Students received training during their winter break at ILIA’s training facility in Howard County, Maryland and applied the skills at a couple of Islamic centers in the region; part of their internship was raising money for a new youth center in Baltimore City.
