Howard County has been offering opportunities for local teens to network and access employers, businesses and non-profits who are passionate about developing the youth. This year marks the first year Islamic Leadership Institute of America (ILIA) joins the fair through two of its unique leadership development cornerstones; Mission Excellence and Internships. ILIA has opportunities for youth interested in Robotics, Cyber-security, Gardening, Smart Sensor Networks, Leadership, Teaching and other exciting areas for young people.

ILIA’s founder Ayman Nassar is excited by the opportunity to be part of a great local effort led by the Howard County’s Dept of Recreation and Parks. “These days teens are bombarded by values that are not consistent with human nature, ranging from inappropriate rap to disturbing video games and smart device applications that induce criminal mindsets and ideas; for them to get an opportunity to network with healthy opportunities is a blessing I hope they recognize”, Nassar states.

It is expected that there will be over 50 exhibitors and door prizes. Mission Excellence will be offering books as door prizes. Event will be held at the North Laurel Community Center at 9411 Whiskey Bottom Rd, Laurel, MD 20723 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday Nov. 16th, 2013.
