Welcome to the Islamic Leadership Institute of America’s (ILIA) second annual fundraiser. The purpose of this fundraiser is to support ILIA leadership, research and development services. Every year ILIA organizes different classes, retreats, tours and coaching and mentoring programs and make research on different important issues especially related to the Muslim youth so as to provide them with the opportunities to develop and groom their inherent leaders and contribute positively to the society. Following is some of the important information about the upcoming annual fundraiser.

  • $300 for a table of 10
  • $120 for a family for four
  • Child Care Arrangements Available: $10
  • Volunteers can register for free online.

Guest Speakers:

Sheikh Muhammad Adly:  The author of more than 20 books on Islam, was born from the tribe of Juhayynah in Egypt 1949. He holds two Ijazah degrees from Egypt and Saudi Arabia and has taught in the Holy Mosque in Makkah. Additionally, he has served in at institutions of good repute i.e. Islamic Mission of America, Brooklyn, NY. Masjid Al-Muslimeen, Brooklyn, NY. Dar Al-Arqam, Brooklyn, NY, Madrastul Ikhuah, Brooklyn, NY, Muslim World League NY, Chaplain & Consultant at SCDC Columbia, SC. Currently, he is the director of the Islamic Center Of Columbia.

Imam Safi Khan:  The founder and director of the Dar-us-Salaam Community in College Park, MD. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Maryland, and is well-versed in Islamic law, tafsir, and sirah. He has been a prominent Imam, lecturer, and family and youth counselor in the Washington DC metropolitan area for the past twenty-five years. He has multiple multimedia out on numerous Islamic topics.

Ayman Nassar: Founder and chair of the board of directors of Islamic Leadership Institute of America (ILIA). He held positions on the board of directors and advisors of several masjids and Islamic organizations in the US. Ayman has great experience in the field of leadership curriculum development, and is the pioneer or several leadership initiatives i.e. Mission Leadership, Youth Project Management, Youth Leadership Certificate, Mission Excellence and several others.

Fawzia Fazily:  Was born and raised in Afghanistan. She came to US at age 18 with her husband. Education has always been a priority in her family, and therefore, she was enrolled in her local community college and earned an Associate in Science degree. After the birth of her third child, she decided to go back to school and earn a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Management. Raising her children were as important as advancing her knowledge and career; therefore, she resigned from her job at Xerox Corporation and became a teacher. For the next fourteen years, she managed to raise three beautiful children, run a household as any Afghan woman would. She earned two Master’s degrees and a Doctor of Education degree. None of this work stopped her from volunteering in several committees inside and outside of the local Islamic community. Last spring, she was offered the position of the Principal of Al-Rahmah School, which she accepted and now she is serving at Al-Rahmah School as a principal.
