Employment Type: Part-Time (10–15 hours/week)
Location: DMV area (primarily Maryland, some DC and Virginia sites)
Compensation: $18–$20/hour + mileage reimbursement ($0.655/mile)
Start Date: Immediately

Position Purpose:
This role is focused primarily on introducing the organization to communities across the larger metro DC/Baltimore region, through presence at community events, and visits to partner locations. This person will be responsible for setting up and managing ILIA’s information tables at Jummah services, partner locations, and community events, sharing ILIA’s mission, programs, and services with the public.
Role Qualifications:
Must be aligned with ILIA’s mission and values.
Able to become familiar with ILIA’s programs and offerings and can successfully complete an onboarding orientation.
Friendly, confident, and effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
Must be able to carry outreach materials (small box, banners, flyers, etc.) in vehicle.
Available Fridays and weekends.
Previous outreach, sales, customer service, or da’wah experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Engage with partners and secure in person presence at partner venues and events.
Set up, manage ILIA info tables, introduce community members to ILIA services and promote programs while at open houses, partner sites, Friday prayers, conventions and community events.
Represent ILIA professionally and engagingly to diverse community members.
Share program brochures, collect sign-ups, and answer questions about ILIA’s services and mission.
Capture leads and report engagement metrics (e.g., # of flyers distributed, interest forms submitted).
Maintain a small supply of display materials (tablecloth, banners, rack cards, QR signs).
Provide feedback and community insights to improve outreach efforts.
