Custodian

Position Purpose: 

The purpose of this role is to ensure facility cleanliness, safety and professional appearance.

Role Qualifications:

1. Experience in cleaning and facility maintenance

2. Experience in handling, using and storing cleaning chemicals

3. Ability to carry trash bags and dispose them in designated bins

Responsibilities:

1. Cleaning the facility by vacuuming, mopping and dusting

2. Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchen

3. Cleaning / mopping floors and surface tops

4. Wiping window sills, desks, tabletops and surfaces

5. Watering plants

6. Vacuuming carpet

7. Inspecting and changing light bulbs

8. Stocking bathroom supplies

9. Taking trash out of the building to dumpster

10. Changing trash bin bags

11. Wiping door knobs, around light switches

12. Dusting walls, ceilings, corners, baseboards, bookshelves, storage areas

13. Removing any spider webs

14. Ventilating building and bringing in fresh air
