Position Purpose:
As an Educational Magazine Delivery Coordinator for Prisons and Jails, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the distribution of educational magazines to incarcerated individuals. Your responsibilities will involve managing the logistics, coordination, and delivery of these magazines to correctional facilities across various locations in MD, DC and DE. This role is instrumental in providing inmates with access to educational materials to support their personal growth and rehabilitation.
Responsibilities:
Magazine Distribution Planning:
Develop a distribution plan that includes delivery schedules and routes to correctional facilities.
Maintain an updated list of participating prisons and jails.
Inventory Management:
Track and manage the inventory of educational magazines, ensuring an adequate supply for each facility.
Coordinate with publishers and suppliers to order and receive new issues as needed.
Coordination with Correctional Facilities:
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the staff at correctional facilities.
Communicate regularly with facility personnel to confirm delivery schedules, security protocols, and any specific requirements.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure all deliveries adhere to strict security protocols and compliance standards set by correctional facilities.
Implement safety measures and maintain confidentiality of delivery information.
Delivery Logistics:
Organize the packaging and labeling of magazines for secure transportation.
Oversee the transportation of magazines to correctional facilities, either directly or through third-party carriers.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all magazine deliveries, including quantities, dates, and signatures of recipients.
Generate reports on distribution progress and highlight any issues or challenges encountered.
Problem Resolution:
Address any delivery issues, discrepancies, or concerns promptly, and work to find solutions in coordination with facility staff.
