Position Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to manage the preparation, submission, and tracking of federal and state grant proposals to secure funding for ILIA’s youth development and leadership programs. The Grant Manager will ensure compliance with grant requirements, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with the ILIA team to align grant opportunities with organizational goals.
Role Qualifications:
Proven experience in grant writing, particularly for federal and state grants.
Strong understanding of grant application processes, compliance requirements, and reporting standards.
Excellent research and analytical skills to identify relevant grant opportunities.
Ability to write clear, concise, and compelling grant proposals.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple grant applications and deadlines.
Proficiency in using grant management software and tools.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a remote team.
Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of nonprofit operations and youth development programs is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Grant Research and Identification:
Research and identify federal and state grant opportunities that align with ILIA’s mission and programs.
Maintain a database of potential grant opportunities, deadlines, and requirements.
Proposal Development:
Prepare and submit high-quality grant proposals, ensuring compliance with all guidelines and requirements.
Collaborate with the ILIA team to gather necessary information, data, and supporting documents for proposals.
Grant Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with grant requirements, including timelines, deliverables, and reporting.
Prepare and submit timely and accurate grant reports to funders.
Maintain organized records of all grant-related documents, including proposals, reports, and correspondence.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with the ILIA team to align grant opportunities with organizational goals and program needs.
Communicate regularly with funders and stakeholders to provide updates and address any inquiries.
Grant Tracking and Management:
Track the status of submitted proposals and follow up with funders as needed.
Monitor grant budgets and ensure funds are used in accordance with grant agreements.
Work Hours:
4-6 hours per week (flexible, remote).
Physical Demands:
Use of computer and internet for research, writing, and communication.
