Position Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to identify and secure funding opportunities, manage donor relationships, and develop and implement fundraising strategies to support ILIA’s youth development and leadership programs. The Fundraiser will play a critical role in ensuring the financial sustainability of ILIA’s initiatives by engaging with donors, sponsors, foundations, and community members.
Role Qualifications:
Experience in fundraising, public speaking, and donor management.
Ability to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies utilizing different approaches.
Ability to organize fundraising events, and donor dinners.
Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in using fundraising databases and CRM software.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Creative and strategic thinking to maximize fundraising opportunities.
Prior experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly youth development organizations.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field is preferred.
Strong understanding of youth culture and Islamic principles and values
Strong English language, Arabic and Urdu a plus
Strong ability to read Quranic verses
Responsibilities:
Funding Opportunities:
Identify and research potential funding opportunities, sponsorships, and donations from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
Donor Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential donors.
Develop and implement donor recognition and stewardship programs.
Regularly communicate with donors to provide updates on ILIA’s programs and impact.
Fundraising Strategies:
Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet ILIA’s financial goals.
Utilize a variety of fundraising approaches, including online campaigns, events, and direct mail.
Event Coordination:
Plan, organize, and manage fundraising events such as donor dinners, and community outreach events.
Collaborate with the ILIA team to ensure successful event execution.
Reporting and Analysis:
Track and report on fundraising performance, including donor contributions and campaign outcomes.
Analyze fundraising data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Engage with community members, sponsors, and partners to promote ILIA’s mission and programs.
Represent ILIA at community events and networking opportunities.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the ILIA team to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals and program needs.
Provide regular updates to the Chief Academics and other stakeholders on fundraising progress.
Work Hours:
6-18 hours per week (flexible, remote).
Physical Demands:
Use of computer and internet for communication, research, and reporting.
Occasional travel for donor meetings and fundraising events.
